What is Clinical Nutrition?

Clinical Nutrition is an evidence-based field of Allied Health practiced by Certified Practising Nutritionists (CPNs) who specialise in optimising health through dietary modifications, therapeutic supplementation for nutrient repletion, nutritional medicine, and lifestyle changes. Clinical Nutritionists support a range of common concerns, including digestive and gut health, energy and immune support, weight and metabolism, and hormonal regulation. This is a rapidly growing field within clinical science and Allied Health, bridging the gap between nutrition and integrative healthcare.

Why work with me?

With a background in leading teams, analysing complex processes, and designing low-friction solutions over the past 20 years, I understand how to implement meaningful, lasting change. I take a practical, personalised approach, making nutrition science accessible and sustainable for real-life, long term application.

As I transitioned into the health and wellness sphere, I became a qualified lifestyle coach, further strengthening my ability to guide individuals toward realistic, long-term health improvements. I am passionate about empowering people to take control of their well-being through evidence-based nutritional strategies tailored to their unique needs.

In particular, I have a strong interest in supporting families of children with gastrointestinal disorders and neurodivergence, helping them navigate the complex relationship between digestion, nutrition, and overall well-being.

Why see a Student Practitioner?

At Torrens University, student practitioners undergo extensive training as part of a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Nutrition) degree, which includes clinical practice. To refine our skills and complete face-to-face training hours, Torrens offers a student-led clinic, providing high-quality, evidence-based care at an affordable price.

All consultations are supervised by highly qualified and experienced practitioners to ensure the best possible outcomes. If you have a complex health condition, we collaborate with your usual healthcare provider to offer integrated and comprehensive support.
